Peat Moss Substrates

Natural decomposed sphagnum peat growing medium, loose acidic substrate for seedling raising and horticultural cultivation.

  • Moisture Management: Peat substrates can store roughly 65% of their volume in water, keeping plant roots hydrated without becoming waterlogged.
  • Superior Aeration: Their fibrous, homogeneous composition allows networks of small air pockets to form, ensuring root systems receive adequate oxygen.
  • Nutrient Retention: High CEC allows the substrate to latch onto essential plant nutrients (like potassium, calcium, and magnesium) and release them over time.

Peat Moss Substrates are formed by long-term natural decomposition of sphagnum moss in wet marsh environments. The raw peat is screened and crushed to form uniform loose substrate without chemical additives. It is a pure natural organic planting medium, different from composite mixed soil.

Light brown to dark brown flaky loose texture, rich in porous gaps. Light weight, excellent water retention and air permeability. The substrate does not harden easily after long-term watering.

Weakly acidic pH environment, low salinity. Rich in natural organic matter, contains trace organic nutrients needed for plant growth. It has stable buffer capacity to balance the growth environment of plant roots.

Suitable for seedling breeding, cuttage propagation, potted flowers, vegetable soilless cultivation and greenhouse commercial planting. It can be used alone or mixed with perlite, vermiculite and coir to prepare customized cultivation soil.
